forty years in the trenches

Well, I have not been too active as of late but, with any luck, I hope to get back on here on a more regular basis.

One thing I would like to put forth at this moment, with all the uncertainty about a "possible election" in the air, is that firearms owners should always remember (historically constant with few exceptions) that the Liberals, the New Democratic Party, the Bloc Quebecois and the Green Party have always had the complete elimination of privately owned firearms from Canadian citizens as the inevitable solution to their cries of "only register some and only prohibit others," et cetera, depending on who is carrying that flag at any given moment, which depends entirely on the mood of the public (which is why there is so much hoopla over any shooting, at any time, for any reason and by anyone) which translates into political benefit for that individual/party.

In the simplest of language they have never had the guts to so state publicly -- but there can be no other conclusion.

Assuming an election does arrive sooner than some may think, it would be wise and advantageous for Canadian firearms owners to get into the fight before that happens and clearly understand the clout they can have at the polls -- it will cost money, time, energy, thought and determination -- but, as history also demonstrates, it can win the day.

Hoping to be back here in the not-too-distant future, I sincerely hope that this message resonates with ALL Canadian firearms owners. If it does not, then as sure as the sun rises, IT IS OVER!!! And do not make the mistake of thinking that "Well, up to now we have survived, so we don't have to worry." If you do, I guarantee it IS OVER! It is simply a matter of time.

I would like to think that the next time I can get this up and running, that I would have more to say and would hope that whatever I have said so far has had some effect.
